Go see this... now!

Saturday night husbie and I had a movie date night (which we haven't had in forever) and we went to go see this:

Soooo good!  Story was great, Josh Duhmel is adorbs (and shirtless for parts), baby is a cutie.  I always worry about this type of movie - I usually think that it is going to be much funnier than it actually is.  This one did not disappoint, it was very funny from start to finish. 

Double Rainbow

Maybe I'm behind the times, but when I posted about this double rainbow, I was completely unaware that the video below even existed.  If I did, I might have done a spoof or, at least, posted them with my pictures.  It is HIGH-larious!  Watch the first one first, then the second.  

A Mid-Morning Amusement

Husbie showed me this YouTube video over the weekend and I cannot get this song out of my head! So, I'm sharing it with you girlies so it can get stuck in yours. ;) It looks like the video is a month or so old, so you may have already seen it.

Here's my disclaimer - I do not think rape is funny. It is absolutley horrible and I cannot imagine what it would be like to be attacked in my home. However the way this news story is treated is pretty amusing and the kids that made it into a music video are brilliant and are probably cashing in on it. Here's to teenage ingenuity and sharing earnings with the victim and family!

Truly Outrageous!

My very first purchase with my own money was a Jem doll.  All you you early 80's girls should remember Jem.  I went to Eckard Drugs (CVS has since bought them out) where my brother worked to buy my Jem doll from him while he was working.  I loved everything about her from her pink hair to her pink lame' outfit.  If I remember correctly, mine lit up and maybe did some other jazz.  Regardless, she was awesome!


Last week I was on a hunt to find a Princess Peach Halloween costume for Ava (strange choice, but she is obsessed with her) and looky, looky what I found:

That's right, it is a Jem Halloween costume!  Ever since we moved to suburbia and had baby #2, husbie and I haven't been on the Halloween going out circuit.  That might change this year!  I really want to be Jem.  I am sure it is super dorky, but I don't care.  Austin was trying to think of something he could wear to go with, but the only thing we could find was him being Jem's manager, and I'm not sure people would get that.  I know Halloween is a ways off, but it's never to early to start planning.  

Any ideas?

Texas, the Mavericks and Canada

Did anyone watch Dancing with the Stars last night?  If so, you saw Jake (aka, Dallas Super Tool) get voted off and make this horribly awkward speech.  Who thanks Texas, the Mavericks fans and Canada when they get voted off of a dancing show?  Jake, that's who!  I really did enjoy his season of the Bachelor, but since he started on DWTS, my opinion of him has dropped like a cell phone into a toilet.  I would say it was the pants-less routine, but it started happening WAY before that.
